The Green Spot gas station is in a league of its own. Having reviewed their lunch taco options a couple month s ago, it was clear this place is not the ordinary gas station or taco stand. The success here has already led to one spin-off when the original Taqueria Good 2 Go Taco moved from the gas station store to its own physical location.
Even with the original Good 2 Go Taco gone there is still an amazing taco stand inside.
Every second and fourth Saturday the Green Spot parking lot becomes the White Rock Local Market with several local farms, artisans, and vendors selling their products. The gas station is open and you can order breakfast in back or buy $2 tacos at the market where they sell free range egg tacos plain, with sausage or with bacon.
The kitchen makes Specialty Breakfast Tacos. One definitely caught my attention: The Jalapeno-Cheddar Biscuit with Sausage, Honey and Egg. This taco is amazing. The crumbled biscuit is full of flavor and still retains its integrity in the taco. Bite-size chunks of crumbled sausage accompanies the biscuit and eggs with a minor touch of honey it all comes together for breakfast taco greatness.
The bin breakfast tacos are decent too. The simple egg and bacon taco with some hot sauce and a cup of coffee is a great way to start the morning. Of course, you can get cheaper gas station breakfast tacos elsewhere, but with better ingredients like free range eggs and with some creative specialty breakfast taco options The Green Spot is worth the stop.
