Review: Tacos Mi Pueblito in Salt Lake City

Tacos Mi Pueblito is a simple truck with small folding table and some chairs. The condiments and salsas are kept in a cooler and one guy ran the truck.  There were a lot of options for a small operation like this. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, sopes, elotes, and even hot dogs. But we were all here for tacos.

2025 Update: La Paisanita Taqueria Deli

La Paisanita Taqueria Deli is what started it all. I was in Dallas for business when I had some time before catching my flight back to Los Angeles and needed to get something to eat. I passed a couple gas station taco places on the way to La Paisanita after I decided I wanted to […]

Review: Paco’s Tacos

Sometimes finding a gas station taco is pure serendipity. Today was one of those times. We were driving around Salt Lake City finding ways to spend some time getting to know the city and decided we should really go see Salt Lake. With our navigation system loaded with the address to a state park, we […]

Review: Star Tacos

It’s been awhile since I’ve had a moment to make a stop for some gas station tacos. This truck on an Arco gas station parking lot is setup every day starting around 5pm. I used to pass it often as it was one of my routes when commuting home from work when the LA freeway […]

Review: Woodys’ Burger Hut & Taqueria

This week’s SxSW Interactive event had me going through some photos from last year, since I decided to skip attending SxSW.  While looking through my images, I noticed a few from a taqueria north of Austin I made a stop at on my way to Louie Mueller Barbecue in Taylor, Texas. It’s never a good […]

Review: La Fisheria in San Francisco

I wasn’t expecting to run into a gas station taco stop while test driving a Kia K900 at the dad blogger conference Dad 2.0 Summit, but I’m always checking whenever I pass a gas station. There it was a taco truck, under a Shell gas station sign on a Friday afternoon in the San Francisco […]
